FundingRoadMap offers a flexible online system for preparing and developing business plans. Its intelligent multiple choice platform provides a step-by-step user interface which allows you to produce a professional business plan without the hassle of creating templates or not being sure what to include. Since the system is cloud-based you can also access your plans at any time, from any device with an internet connection, making it versatile and quick to adapt if you need to.
There are several packages to choose from here, each with their own advantages and pricing structures. A free 7 day trial period is available so that you can get an idea of the sorts of things that are possible using the business planning platform. The basic plan provides access to the Funding Roadmap business plan and due diligence reporting system, whilst the premium package also allows you to utilise the Cloudfund Compliance Report and Crowdfund Task and Action Plan, essentially allowing you to create a much more in depth plan. The platinum package allows all of this, plus access and listing to the Dealflow Hatchery. For most people the basic plan is probably fine, although if you want to produce a more intricate plan with particular assistance from DealFlow (which helps you to find funding) then it may be worth considering the platinum option.
The business plan program is intuitive and pretty easy to use, with the added bonus that you can edit it as you see fit. Since your information is all stored in a cloud server you can access it when you’re on the move, which means that the editing facilities are particularly important as you may wish to change elements of the plan prior to presenting it to a potential investor, whilst you’re on the move.
In terms of support, the site offers a blog which covers some key business funding advice. However this is not updated as regularly as we would like, and subsequently some of the advice might not be fully applicable to the current business market. The site has an FAQ, but it is relatively short and offers only a set list of questions and answers with no possibility to search for specifics. You can email customer support, but there is no indication as to how long they take to respond.
If you’re looking for a flexible, online business planning program then Funding RoadMap is worth a look. It could improve on the aftercare provided, but the system is user friendly and should be adaptable enough to suit most entrepreneurial pursuits.
